Creating My First GIF

Mood board:
The 6-word memoir was a fun project to showcase a new skill with creating a GIF. When coming up with "Keep Dancing and Your Heart Open" I wanted to make something lighthearted and fun which is the kind of design I like to do. For the mood board, I thought about fonts that are more unique and have movement to them and colors that are bright and lively.
10 Sketch Ideas:
When working on the ten sketches that were required for the project, I wanted to try out different layouts that I had not tried before and wanted to explore different ways that elements could move in the GIF.
Final Sketch Ideas:
These are the three final ideas I had based on the sketches as well as taking elements from the mood board. I found the font in the first two to be fun because it looks like the font is moving on the screen without having it in GIF form. The last font was just a fun one with hearts. I played around with different background colors as well as heart colors trying to make sure they were complementary and the font being the focal point in different ways.
Feedback & Final JPG:
Taking feedback from the professor and class I incorporated the last design with the font that looked like movement. To fill in a lot of the blank space I used the orange small hearts which added more fun to the design. I decided to have the hearts look as thought they are going down a line across and also the font two at a time easier to follow.
Final GIF:
This is the GIF of the final design. I enjoyed creating this and feel it is a great first try with making my first GIF.
